decorative art
I have decided to spend some time working on a portfolio of decorative art. So far the series "Pictures for Children's Rooms" as well as the new Calendars and greeting cards have been very successful, but for the purposes of decorating the walls in the residences and offices, something more subdued in colour and theme is usually needed.
Since I am primarily working on my book project, this series will take time, but hopefully in the next year I will manage to photograph a few lovely and appealing pieces.
This series worked with a rose abstract I photographed this autumn. The intensely yellow rose made for a fantastic entry into a "Floral Secrets 2011" Calendar but s such is probably too intense as large wall art.
I have modified the colours and hues into what I though would be most appropriate but the hues can be varied further depending on a colour scheme of the space it will be complementing.
